Screens for the newest Star Wars game for the PlayStation game console is finally here. The game allows up to two players to play as one of five Jedi: Qui-Gon Jin, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Plo Koon or Adi Gallia. Each of the Jedi have their own strenghts and weaknesses. Some are very quick and strong but weak with the force and others are very strong with the force but lack in the physical area.
As the game progresses, a character can learn new power-ups and enhance their moves to adapt to the increasing difficulty in the game. Players are forced into battleing with many droids and other baddies, and then take on a boss at the end of each level.

Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace After about three months later than was thought, the Episode 1: The Adventure was finally released for the Play Station on September 15. It was scheduled to release about a week after the release of the movie. But for some reason this date was pushed back. This third-person overhead view adventure allows you to explore many different worlds while playing 4 different characters (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jin, Queen Amidala, and Captain Panaka). Throughout most of the game, you will control Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. You have numerous weapons to fight the legions of Trade Federation Battle Droids and other baddies.
The lightsaber will be your weapon of choice throughout most of the game. It can be used to hack down droids or use it to deflect incoming fire back at the person shooting, possibly taking them out in the process. You also have what is called the force push, which is an effective move against a large group of
enemies. Jedi use the force push to send a force of energy into an enemy and knock them on the ground rendering them useless. You also have a large amount of other firing weapons that can be used to take out a large amount of enemies at once or are effective against the many bosses or other tough enemies such as destroyer droids. These weapons can be collected in numerous places through out the game.
Review: I give the game a 6 of 10. The game play is great! There are so many puzzles, exploration, interaction, and hundreds of things to kill; there is just non-stop action. The only low part of the game is the graphics. They are not what you would expect from a Star Wars game. The full motion video sequences are beautiful and so are the landscapes. But the in-game cinemas are weak. There are problems with transparency, (a character moves through another or scenery is viewable through an object) The character design is a little shakey and so are the lines. Many are right out of the movie, and some are there to make the game work. But the graphics are what really have to push the story. Without graphics a game can be severely messed up.

The first of two Episode 1 games released. It is based on the popular pod race scene in the new Star Wars film scene first in the Star Wars Teaser Trailer. It is recently out on the Nintendo 64 and PC and is being developed for the PS and the Mac. It is a fast-paced race that takes you to eight different planets and allows you to pilot 23 different racers on 23 different tracks. Only the first stage from the game is based directly on the movie. All of the Pods are straight from the movie. In the film you see eighteen different Pods. The extra Pods in
the game are actually the Pods that were pulled from the film before the final cut. You'll have the ability to pilot every one of these vehicles, The Podracers are an underground event, wildly popular, but forbidden in most places. The rules are simple: anything goes, just don't get killed.
